They chatted casually as they strolled out of the prison, got into the car, and headed for the Duke’s mansion.
In no time, they got to the gate of the mansion.
Immediately Sonny stepped out of the car, his attention was drawn to the familiar, towering figure standing by the door.
Nathan, wearing a dark overcoat, stood tall and straight. He exuded an air of cold nobility and it appeared as if he had been waiting there specifically for Sonny.
The man was wearing a mask and a large hat to conceal his face, but Sonny could tell that it was his boss at first glance.
Tears welled up in his eyes, and he forgot about his wounds and pain.
He rushed over and embraced Nathan.
Nathan chuckled, patting Sonny’s back.
“It’s only been two weeks, and you’ve become quite emotional. What happened?”
Sonny furrowed his brow, remaining silent. He held onto Nathan tightly, seeking solace and warmth in his embrace.
Carlee approached them and reminded Nathan, “Sonny is still badly injured from the beatings. Be gentle with him, or he’ll experience pain!”
Nathan glanced at her and gently withdrew his hand from Sonny’s back.
“Looks like you’ve gained a lot during this trip. You even found yourself a pleasant girl,” he remarked.

Carlee smiled softly.
Sonny was left speechless.
Meanwhile, Kyson was en route to Aered Court.
Glancing out of the window into the dark sky, he coldly instructed Jamie, “Tomorrow night, find a way to kill Sonny and get back the super virus serum before he boards the plane.”
“But… He’s skilled in fighting. I can’t use a gun in public, and I can’t bring too many people without attracting attention. We might not stand a chance,” Jamie voiced his concerns.
Kyson squinted his captivating eyes and declared ruthlessly, “His wounds are still fresh. He’s at his weakest. Just do as I say.”
“Yes, sir.”
Jamie, seated in the front passenger seat, nodded. Suddenly, a call came in on his phone.
His expression turned serious as he got the news from the person on the other end. He glanced back at Kyson and reported, “Sir, our men said Sonny is missing!”
Kyson frowned.
“Investigate the entire thing!”
